GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
To ensure routine floor maintenance of all commercial sites within the agency. Work closely with the Custodian Coordinator to perform all necessary duties.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The following is a summary of the essential functions of this job. The incumbent may perform other duties, both major and minor, that are not mentioned below and essential functions may change from time to time.
- Promote and adhere to all elements of the Agency's CQL outcomes and Core Values and demonstrate knowledge and commitment to the Arc's Mission.
- Ensure protection from abuse, neglect, mistreatment and exploitation in regard to the health, safety, comfort, and well-being for the people we support by adhering to all related policies.
- Perform floor stripping, waxing and buffing as
- Perform maintenance of carpeted areas as
- Supervise and assist building custodians where
- Instruct Custodian I & II on proper usage of cleaning
- Notify Custodian Coordinator when supplies are running low or problems with
- Secure the building at the end of the work
- Report all damages to building to immediate
- Maintaining and servicing floor cleaning
- Maintain current knowledge of janitorial related MSDS
- Dress in a neat and clean
- Promote and adhere to all elements of the Agency's Corporate Compliance and HIPAA
- Maintain and promote confidentiality in accordance with Agency
- Comply with all aspects of the Agency's Safety
- Serve on Agency committees as
- Attend meetings as dictated by your job responsibilities and/or as
- Attend and complete all mandatory
- Adhere to scheduled hours and submit completed timesheets to supervisor on time each payroll
QUALIFICATIONS:
The following qualifications are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of the job.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to work independently and function as a team member with a wide range of
- Ability to work flexible schedules which may include evenings and

- Thorough knowledge of machines and cleaning chemicals
- Skills necessary to use machines and apply chemicals in a proper

- Clean NYS operator's license and ability to operate Agency
- Ability to observe work in progress and inspect buildings to verify compliance with cleaning
- Be able to lift, push & pull up to 75 (furniture, equipment, etc.
Education and Experience
Any combination equivalent to education and experience that provides the required knowledge and skills. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
- High school diploma or
- Three (3) years experience in floor stripping and waxing.
