A day in the life as a Teller

Working on our Rockland teller line will put you face-to-face with our members. As the first point of contact, you'll have the opportunity to develop relationships with them and they will come to trust you. Performing basic transactions such as processing deposits and withdrawals and accepting loan payments will make up most of your day. You will also be responsible for maintaining and balancing a cash drawer. As a Float Teller you will assist with coverage at other area branches as needed. It's a great way to get to know co-workers you may otherwise never meet! At RFCU we pride ourselves in setting you up for success with on-the-job training and an introductory period for plenty of feedback and coaching.

The Teller position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, face-to-face customer service experience and cash handling experience. Strong communication skills and the ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail are also important to the role.

Work Schedule and Benefits

As a Float Teller, you will work a 40-hour, full-time schedule that includes extended hours on Thursday and Friday, and a half-day every other Saturday. Here's a sample schedule:

Wednesday 8:00am - 4:30pm 7:30am - 4:00pm

Thursday 7:30am - 4:00pm 10:00am - 6:30pm

Friday 8:00am - 6:30pm 7:30am - 4:00pm

Saturday 7:30am - 1:30pm OFF
