About the Job
Seeking an experienced B757/B767 maintenance technician willing to travel and provide daily upkeep of a one-of-a-kind, VIP aircraft. Applicant will require a keen eye for detail and possess the ability to make decisions with little supervision. This position will have responsibility at aircraft home station along with travel requirements to support Flight Operations and Heavy Maintenance as applicable. This is a home based position and applicant will have company paid travel to and from work assignments. Typical schedule is 15 days on 15 days off.
Job Description:
- Perform safe, error free maintenance repairs and alterations in accordance with approved technical data.
- Provide continuity of maintenance when shift changes or work assignment changes occur in accordance with the procedures set forth in company manual.
- Ensure the proper completion of maintenance logs for work in progress, work completed, or work carried over as well as other required forms and records.
- Ensure that adequate tools, parts, materials, support equipment, and facilities are available, inspected, and maintained in a clean serviceable condition.
- Review repair and certification tags to see that no defective parts or materials are used in the completion of assigned work.
- Ensure that high standards of workmanship are applied.
- Assure the airworthiness of the aircraft maintained by company meet the requirements of CFR's Part 43, 91, and 125.
- Provide for the maintenance, preventive maintenance, repair, overhaul, or modification of the aircraft and components operated by company following the manufacturer's technical data, Instructions for Continued Airworthiness and Company Manual Procedures.
- Maintain complete, current, and orderly records as required by the maintenance publications and the Code of Federal Regulations.
- Accomplish other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Must meet the requirements of 14 CFR § 65.83 and read, write, speak and understand the English language.
- Three (3) years or more of related technical experience required on Transport Category Aircraft.
- Thorough knowledge of Avionics troubleshooting, and Fault Isolation procedures required.
- Advanced knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts.
- Have the appropriate technical experience, evidenced by employment history, training, certification or practical tests.
- Knowledge of reading, interpreting drawings, diagrams, and manuals; aircraft, avionics/other systems; wire coding systems; avionics test equipment; knowledge of manuals necessary to perform job; troubleshoot aircraft systems, and to measure using a variety of basic and precision measuring tools.
- Ability to use and navigate a computer and portable electronic device with above average skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Products.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
- Must be able to pass background check and drug screening.
- Possess a Current and valid U.S. Passport.
- Possess a Current and valid Driver’s License.
- Possess a Current and valid FAA Airframe and Power-Plant (A&P) License.
- Possess a serviceable set of hand tools to perform the required job functions. (specialty and calibrated tools will be provided by company)
- Ability to lift more than 60lbs overhead while performing maintenance.
