The Fleet Supervisor is responsible for the day to day transportation operations. Responsibility includes -managing drivers, ensuring on time store deliveries, tractor utilization, inbound reverse logistics on time pick up, -and driver safe and legal operations. -Duties & Responsibilities: -

The Fleet Supervisor is responsible for the day to day transportation operations. Responsibility includes -managing drivers, ensuring on time store deliveries, tractor utilization, inbound reverse logistics on time pick up, -and driver safe and legal operations. -Duties & Responsibilities: -
- Manage assigned Drivers to deliver results that include but not limited to, on-time delivery, safety compliance, and utilization.
- Champion Driver retention by building and maintaining driver relationships through -understanding and meeting driver needs. These needs include, but are not limited to home time, payroll, utility, equipment breakdowns, logging violations, equipment issues, etc.
- Manages safety by adhering to Federal, State, local, and organizational rules and -regulations.
- Promotes a culture of safety by evaluating the safety performance of all employees and -ensuring proper safety measures are in place and addressing any concerns/issues in a timely manner.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs): -
- Proven Leadership and in-depth knowledge of dedicated transportation operations, FMCSA and DOT regulations.
- Understanding of Compliance, Safety, Accountability (CSA) program.
- Strong communication (written and verbal), listening, interpersonal problem solving and innovative thinking skills
- High attention to detail, strong planning, and organization skills
- Understands driver logs, hours of service, and dedicated operations
- Proficient in usage of transportation optimization software to perform routing, tendering, scheduling, and shipment tracking
- Ability to function in a high-stress environment
- Must know MS Office software
- 10% travel requiredWork Experience &/or Education:
- One to three years onsite driver management experience preferred
- One year Driver Dispatch Management System (satellite dispatch systems) experience (McLeod, TMW, -Telogis, Dispatch Tracks, AS400)
