Job Details
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fleet Manager to join our team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fleet management, operations, and vehicle maintenance. This is a full-time permanent position with competitive compensation and benefits package.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the entire fleet of construction vehicles, including trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.
- Develop and implement fleet management policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards.
- Plan and coordinate vehicle maintenance, repairs, and inspections to ensure maximum uptime and minimize downtime.
- Monitor fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and vehicle performance to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
- Manage a team of drivers and mechanics to ensure efficient and effective fleet operations.
- Ensure all vehicles are properly licensed, registered, and insured.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery of parts and services.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all fleet-related activities, including maintenance logs, fuel consumption, and driver logs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in fleet management, operations and vehicle maintenance.
- CDL license a plus.
- Utility industry experience a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and fleet management software (Altec and Terex a plus).
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to fleet management and transportation.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
