Fixed Asset Accountant at Creative Financial Staffing

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to specialize in the management and oversight of fixed assets. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate financial records, compliance with government regulations, and supporting financial reporting processes.

• Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset ledger, including additions, retirements, transfers, and depreciation schedules.
• Conduct periodic asset inventories and ensure proper tagging and tracking of county assets.
• Review and classify capital expenditures in compliance with accounting policies.Prepare schedules and reports related to fixed assets for financial statements and audits.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, including GASB (Governmental Accounting Standards Board).
• Provide detailed documentation and support for internal and external audits.
• Work closely with various departments to ensure proper recording and reporting of fixed asset transactions

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on fixed assets preferred.
• Experience in governmental accounting is highly desirable.
• Must reside in Allegheny County.
