As a Fixed Asset Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in our dynamic manufacturing team. This position is designed for an individual who thrives in high-energy environments and has a keen eye for detail. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of fixed asset accounting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional with 3+ years of experience in fixed assets accounting, who is looking to make a significant impact in a thriving manufacturing company.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all aspects of fixed asset accounting, including acquisition, depreciation, disposal, and reconciliation.
2. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all fixed asset activity, including maintaining a comprehensive fixed asset schedule.
3. Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile with the fixed asset register.
4. Collaborate with the purchasing department to ensure proper recording of new fixed assets.
5. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual fixed asset reports for management review.
6. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and audits.
7. Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards and regulations.
8. Collaborate with other members of the finance team to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
9. Provide guidance and training to junior team members on fixed asset accounting procedures.
10. Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in fixed asset accounting, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
3. Proficient in fixed asset accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
4. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
5. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial staff.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
