Job Title: Fitness Floor Attendant II (Club Fitness)

Reports to: Club Fitness Manager
Job Class: Regular Part-time, Non-exempt
Work Hours: Variable schedule M-F 4:45 am-11am, up to 19 hours per week
Compensation: $16.00 an hour
Position Summary
Under the general direction and supervision of the Club Fitness Manager, the Fitness Floor Attendant II (Club Fitness) Is responsible for assisting members of Club Fitness with basic fitness equipment instruction and use and ensuring area cleanliness. The Fitness Floor Attendant II provides administrative and personnel support for the Club Fitness Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serves as an initial facility opener preparing Club Fitness for business operations.
- Performs opening and closing duties including arming/disarming/locking/unlocking building and security systems.
- Handles customer service escalations for resolution as needed.
- Serves as training support for new staff members, including assisting in the onboarding process and training on new processes or systems for current employees.
- Greets the public courteously and respectfully in person, answering any questions as needed.
- Engages with Club Fitness members and sources for networking opportunities.
- Assists Club Fitness center members on usage of exercise equipment when appropriate.
- Maintain everyday cleanliness of the fitness center (Listed Duties - Exercise floor, PIT, equipment, towels, etc.).
- Assists in conducting prospective member tours of the fitness area/facility.
- Observes all safety regulations in compliance with safety manual operation.
- Assists in maintaining adequate inventory of Club Fitness floor cleaning supplies, forms, and materials.
- Establishes good working relationships with staff, patrons, the community, and other governmental agencies within the Village of Addison.
- Keeps all work areas clean and well organized.
- Assists in facility general cleaning and organization when necessary.
- Assists in general office and administrative needs as assigned.
- Completes duties as assigned in the absence of the Club Fitness Manager.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists with and/or attends park district special events.
- Works with schools, sports leagues, and other organizations on special projects as directed.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age.
- General knowledge of word processing and general office operations.
- Previous customer service experience preferred.
- Bilingual skills preferred (Polish, Italian, and/or Spanish)

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
- Frequent walking, standing, reaching.
- General work area is indoors, in a smoke-free environment with controlled temperature and fluorescent lighting.
- Occasional exposure to natural and potentially extreme weather conditions while attending to job-related activities.
- Exposure to noise distractions from employees, patrons, or equipment operation in adjacent work areas.
- Will operate and handle assigned equipment.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must have the physical agility to maintain mobility in Club Fitness and be able to perform moderate manual tasks.
- May perform duties which include, but are not limited to prolonged lifting, standing, stooping, bending, twisting, and climbing for extended periods of time.
