Summary:
The Fiscal Specialist prepares invoices for payment, performs account reconcilements, audits the client fund Cash Receipts & Disbursements (CR&D) packets, maintains metrics on the client funds, completes special audit projects and accounts receivable and bank functions. The Fiscal Specialist reports directly to the Controller or designee.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am - 4:30pm.
Wage Information:
$17.00 per hour
Job Description:
- Preparing vouchers for invoices and petty cash, including codings as needed.
- Entering vouchers into accounting software system.
- Completing annual tax reporting, such as 1099s.
- Preparing bank deposit.
- Maintaining recurring voucher batches.
- Reviewing petty cash vouchers.
- Entering retail invoices into accounting software.
- Processing, reviewing, and matching client funds receipts for accuracy and audit.
- Reconciling client checking and savings accounts with registers and generating reports.
- Reconciling client funds packets, as well as client checking and savings accounts, and generating relevant reports.
- Maintaining checkbook for Operating Account as well as completing monthly bank reconciliation for Operating Account.
- Obtaining cash management numbers from bank information and recording in accounting software and checkbook.
- Completing advanced AR/AP tasks as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer, Controller, or Senior Accountant with regularity.
- Assuming lead role for Clients Funds team when needed.
- Processing of petty cash functions.
- Knowledge of and adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Demonstrate ethical and sound professional practices by acting consistently and according to CSG's mission and core values.
- Complete job tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain and build friendly rapport with internal and external associates at all levels of the organization.

- The ability to understand how work is accomplished in the organization, chain of command, rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
This position requires one of the following combinations of education and experience:
High school diploma or equivalency and three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
