The Opportunity
We're seeking an associate attorney with 1-5 years experience, to join our family law practice. This position offers extensive training and mentorship opportunities for new attorneys passionate about family law and victim advocacy.
Primary Responsibilities
- Work directly with experienced attorneys on family law matters including:
- Divorce, legal separation, and annulment proceedings
- Child custody and visitation arrangements
- Support orders and modifications
- Asset and debt division
- Draft legal documents and pleadings
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Assist in court preparation and attend hearings
- Interact with clients and manage case communications
- Learn and implement trauma-informed approaches to client representation
Required Qualifications
- Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar
- Strong academic background
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Genuine interest in family law and victim advocacy
- Commitment to professional growth and learning
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
