We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Firmware Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative technology team. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, pushing the boundaries of LIDAR, Laser, and Infrared technology and creating solutions that have never been seen before. As a Firmware Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing firmware for a variety of embedded systems, ensuring that our products are of the highest quality and reliability.
Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, code, test, and debug system firmware.
2. Analyze and enhance efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resources.
3. Interface with hardware design and development.
4. Assess third party and open source software.
5. Develop firmware for microcontrollers, sensors, cameras, infrared devices, lasers, and other hardware components.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
7. Conduct feasibility studies on new technologies and hardware/software architectures.
8. Participate in design and code reviews, identifying potential problem areas and suggesting alternative solutions.
9. Develop test plans, execute tests, and produce test reports to ensure that our products meet the highest quality standards.
10. Document software designs and code with specifications and source comments, and create end-user documentation when necessary.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum 5 years experience in C++ programming, embedded systems, and microcontroller programming.
3. Solid understanding of hardware interfacing and embedded systems design principles.
4. Experience with infrared devices, lasers, sensors, and/or cameras.
5. Proficient in software testing and design.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
8. Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
9. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast-paced environment.
10. Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
