Firewatch at Express Employment Professionals

Express Employment seeks a reliable and safety-conscious individual to join our team as a Firewatch. This employee will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of work areas during hot work operations, such as welding, grinding, and cutting, by monitoring potential fire hazards and responding swiftly if necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor work areas for signs of fire or smoke.
• Keep fire suppression equipment, such as fire extinguishers, readily available and functional.
• Respond immediately in the event of a fire or emergency situation, ensuring the safety of workers.
• Ensure compliance with all fire safety procedures and regulations.
• Communicate with supervisors and workers about any safety concerns or incidents.
• Assist in implementing fire prevention measures, including the use of fire-resistant blankets and shields.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in fire safety or related fields is preferred.
• Ability to remain alert and vigilant for long periods.
• Knowledge of fire safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to work in various environmental conditions and physical demands.
