Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Firestop Estimator/Manager for the Washington DC Region
- Assist in all sales of the Firestop Division, build customer relations.
- Estimate all Firestop projects
- Compute costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
- Plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of projects including labor
- Assist in the management of the operational capabilities of the division.
- Assist in training of the staff.
- Monitor productivity and provide solutions to the problems that arise with the labor pool, including write ups and other documentation of performance, both positive and negative.
- Drive performance so that each project is completed under budget and on schedule
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience, 5 years total construction experience preferred
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong ability to read, understand and interpret specifications and drawings
- Must have skilled knowledge of estimating techniques, software and databases
- Sharp understanding of bidding process
- Ability to visualize various building techniques
- Superb communication skills
- Strong work ethic and moral ethics with the ability to exercise sound judgment
- Ability to foresee problems and take corrective actions
- OSHA Certification
- Positive attitude and entrepreneurial spirit
- Thrives in a team environment
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Continued development of technical skills
- Ability to work with customers building strong, continued relationships

- Assist in training of the staff.

- Past Firestop Experience
- Knowledge of all firestop materials and codes.
- Project management experience
- Effective organization, communication, and leadership skills
- Multitasking Skills
- Ability to self-perform all duties with little guidance
