Firearms Incoming Production Support
Rock Island Auction Company (RIAC), the #1 firearms auction house in the world, is searching for Incoming Production Support at the facility in Rock Island, Illinois! Join the RIAC team of gun enthusiasts who consistently work hard and deliver world-class customer service! This job is paramount for safety and the buck stops here. Literally. Be the champion who ensures guns entering the building have NO live rounds and are fully unloaded. Owning this checkpoint safeguards every single individual in the entire building. This position also ensures that information provided is accurate and verified, and entered into our databases.
Unpack shipments upon arrival with accurate data entry while intimately experiencing artistic beauty of rare and antique firearms, as well as other impressive collectible auction items such as swords, knives, suits of armor, military memorabilia, and historically significant items.

RIAC standard hours of operations are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. CST.

Routinely moving and transporting up to 50 pounds. Traversing and moving for prolonged periods up to 100% of the time with frequent ascending, descending, or positioning self to maintain moving and transporting consignor items. Must be able to constantly communicate and exchange accurate information. Must be able to detect, identify, inspect, observe, perceive and assess incoming production operations. Constantly operates and uses computer and other relevant equipment and office machinery. Constantly works with and around firearms, bladed weaponry, and valuable collectibles.

- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required;
- Intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel);
- Hands-on experience working with and organizing inventory;
- Strong data entry skills and attention to detail;
- Ability to obtain and maintain active FOID card status (Illinois residents only); and
- Ability to work six (6) auction weekends per year.
