Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
-High school diploma or GED
-Ability to speak, read, and understand the English Language.
-Must have clear and acceptable driving record as determined by the Texas School Bus Driver’s
requirements.
-Work at various heights.
-Minimum eight (8) years’ experience in the trade.
-Extensive knowledge of fire alarm, sprinkler, and suppression systems.
-Write, comprehend, and edit specifications and prints for new construction and modifications to all
types of Fire Safety systems.
-Electrician experience preferred.
Essential Functions:
- Perform all duties of a Low Voltage Lead. Tech I, II, III, and IV.
- Perform all duties of a Fire Safety & Risk Management Specialist.
- Direct and supervise all phases of Fire Safety System modifications.
- Approve parts and material orders for the department.
- Conduct follow-up inspections of completed work.
- Coordinate repairs or renovations by outside contractors.
- Attend Planning Review meetings.
- Be the Point of Contact for the Fire Marshal’s Office.
- Attend Fire Safety Inspection walks with the Fire Marshal.
- Take the necessary action to immediately report and correct any condition that may cause injury or illness to students or staff.
- Monitor departmental purchases.
- Review specifications and prints for new construction.
- Monitor District Safety Software as needed.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Supervisor.

Working Conditions:- Must be able to lift and carry 75 pounds.
- Be available to work different schedules or shifts to accomplish tasks.
- Be available for after-hours demands, subject to 24-hour responsibility.
- Maintain emotional control under stress.
- Ability to work alone.
- Ability to keep information confidential.
