Fire Protection Technician - Gpac

Position: Fire Protection Mechanic & Welders

Reports To: Project Manager

Status: Full Time

Fire Protection Company is seeking an experienced FP Mechanic & Welders for immediate opening.

The Fire Protection Mechanic will be responsible for the following:

• Study plans and specifications to help properly set up a construction site in collaboration with the supervisor.
• Evaluate the work to be done to make the various systems optimal / meet NFPA standards.
• Install, test, maintain, and troubleshoot various Fire Systems.
• Provide customer services and technical support for fire systems, including on-call services (on rotation) and travel to the client’s site.

What will you need to succeed?

• Hold a CCQ Journeyman Fire Protection Mechanic card.
• Valid drivers license.
• Knowledge of MS Office.
• Resourceful and team spirit.
• Customer service skills.
• Available to work outside.
• Must be available to work with flexible schedules and occasional overtime hours (evenings/week-ends) respond to service calls.
• Experience with sprinkler systems or automatic extinguishers
• Fire alarm experience
