We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Fire Alarm Technician to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of construction projects, ensuring the safety and compliance of fire alarm systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fire alarm service, system inspection, maintenance, installation, and testing. You will be responsible for ensuring all fire safety regulations and codes are met and will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety of our construction sites. This position requires a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
1. Installation, maintenance, and inspection of fire alarm systems across various construction sites.
2. Conducting regular tests to ensure fire alarm systems are in perfect working condition.
3. Troubleshooting and repairing faults in fire alarm systems promptly and efficiently.
4. Ensuring all fire alarm systems comply with local and national fire codes.
5. Providing guidance and training to construction teams on fire safety procedures and protocols.
6. Collaborating with project managers and safety officers to develop and implement fire safety plans.
7. Documenting all inspections, maintenance, and repair work for record-keeping and reporting purposes.
8. Keeping abreast of the latest advancements in fire safety technology and recommending upgrades or replacements when necessary.
9. Participating in safety meetings and contributing to the overall safety culture of the organization.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician in the construction industry or a similar role.
2. Proficient knowledge of fire alarm service, system inspection, maintenance, installation, and testing.
3. Extensive understanding of fire safety regulations and fire code compliance.
4. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and provide fire safety training.
7. High attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety.
8. Physical fitness to work in a construction environment, including climbing ladders, lifting heavy equipment, and working in confined spaces.
9. Certification from a recognized fire safety or electrical institution is preferred.
10. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various construction sites as needed.
