Journeyman Electrician – Your Job Duties:
You will work directly with the Owner and Project Management team to perform fire alarm and electrical installations and maintenance for commercial and industrial projects.
- Support a wide range of electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks, including wiring, troubleshooting, and testing of fire alarm systems
- Oversee electrical projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating with contractors
- Maintain all necessary paperwork including permits, budgets, change orders, and project reports
- Lead and mentor a team of 5-6 electricians
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulations through ongoing training and development
Journeyman Electrician – Required Skills, Experience & Personality Fit:
- Experience with special hazard fire alarm systems
- Strong understanding of commercial and industrial fire alarm system principles and codes
- Ability to travel frequently throughout California – 4x10 schedule, with per diem
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass a drug test and background check prior to start date
Journeyman Electrician – You Might Have (Desired, Not Required):
- Knowledge or certifications in Pre-Action, FM-200, Novac, Halon, CO2 gases, hydrogen, CO2 detectors, VESDA, and EPO systems
- NICET Fire Alarm Systems Certification - Level 1 or 2
- Journeyman level electrician experience
- Registration as a certified electrician in California
- Desire to grow into a Service Manager role in the future
Journeyman Electrician – For You:
Your compensation will be $38 - $45 per hour, depending on experience.
You will be provided with medical insurance options including company contribution, dental and vision insurance option, paid time off, paid holidays. The company will also support continuing education and certifications.
This role will require frequent travel throughout California. You will be required to pass a drug screening and background check prior to starting.
