About the Job
We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Inspector to join our team. In this role you will need to be familiar with inspecting, testing & Installing Fire Alarm systems.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Fire Alarm Inspectors shall be knowledgeable of NFPA code regulations, local AHJ code compliance to perform all Fire Alarm Test and Inspections.
- Experience with the following manufacturers as an Inspector: Edwards/EST, Kidde, Honeywell Products (Notifier, Gamewell/FCI ) FireLite, Bosch, Silent Knight, DSC, Telguard, is preferred.
- Assist customers on site with all questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Effectively communicate project status to office staff & management.
- Complete all appropriate company paperwork as required.
- Follow and enforce safety policy and procedures
- Provide details and resolutions to sales for deficiencies
- Participate in “On Call” services
- Technical knowledge for control panel interfaces
- Ensure proper maintenance and care of equipment trucks, lifts, tools, etc.
Basic Qualifications:
- NICET I or higher is required or to be obtained within the 1st year of employment
- OSHA 10 or 30 is a plus++.
- Cross trained in Fire Sprinkler, clean agent and special hazards systems inspections is a plus
- Knowledge of fire codes, standards, and regulations, including NFPA and local building codes.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Applicants must meet requirements in relation to background and driving record.
- Must be proficient in the use and application of industry related equipment including MS Office.
- Must have excellent communications skills, using tact and diplomacy when dealing with customers.
- Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing a ladder, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 60 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
- Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools as required and lifting to 50lbs.
