Fire Alarm Lead Technician

Our client is looking for an experienced fire alarm lead tech that has experience with well rounded experience in fire alarm installations, maintenance, repairs, testing, and programming to join their team on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities:
- Installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and programming of various fire alarm systems.
- Provides reliable, high quality customer support.
- Provides customer instruction on system operation and functionality.
- Performs system testing and signal verification.
- Complete and submit all required task-related activities, productivity, and other documentation in a timely manner.
- A leader and can work with well with others or independently
- MUST be able to lead a team and keep them on track to the schedule, but also willing and able to perform the manual work
- Read drawings and pull wires accordingly.
- Working knowledge of local/national codes desired.
- Running low voltage cabling in commercial buildings, including drilling concrete walls and limited conduit work.
- Ensuring all cables are neatly tied and bundled according to safety regulations.
- Installation of cable support structures such as j-hooks, cable racks, and innerduct.
- Conduct tests to ensure all newly installed cable systems and component devices are operational.
- Troubleshoot issues with cable networks.
- Adhere to all required project safety requirements as set forth by our client company, customers, and OSHA.
- Perform any other duties not specifically stated herein, but which your supervisor may assign.
Requirements:
- Experience as a lead Fire Alarm technician
- ANY LEVEL NICET CERTIFICATION IS A PLUS
- MUST BE ABLE TO TRAVEL OVERNIGHT THROUGHOUT GEORGIA SUNDAY - THURSDAY WEEKLY (Always home on weekends)
- Experience reading blueprints and site maps.
- Knowledge of fire alarm panels.
- Experience in CCTV, voice, and data cabling is a PLUS!
- Knowledge in identifying independent colors and learning color codes.
- Ability to work in cramped spaces.
- Ability to operate a BOOM or scissor lift, and ability to work at heights.
- Has basic telecommunication tools and PPE.
- Must have knowledge of cabling infrastructure.
- Proficient with the use of smartphones, personal computers, including email, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office programs.
- Experience in conduit installation is a plus.
- Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and with a clean driving history!
- Must be able to pass any pre employment requirements set by our client company.
