We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Senior Fire Alarm Technician to join our highly skilled Engineering team. As a Senior Fire Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our clients by ensuring that all fire alarm systems are functioning correctly and meet all safety standards and regulations. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to safety.
Responsibilities:
1. Install, inspect, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
2. Carry out detailed testing and commissioning of new systems.
3. Identify potential issues and proactively implement effective solutions.
4. Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians.
5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all maintenance and repair work.
6. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards and regulations.
7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing excellent customer service and ensuring client satisfaction.
8. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and advancements in fire alarm technology.
9. Assist in the training and development of junior technicians.
10. Participate in on-call rotation for emergency service calls.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician.
2. NICET certification in Fire Alarm Systems.
3. Extensive knowledge of fire alarm systems including Notifier and Silent Knight.
4. Experience working with low voltage systems.
5. Possession of S98 Certificate of Fitness for Fire Alarm Systems Inspection, Testing, and Service.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
7. Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
9. Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all relevant safety standards and regulations.
10. Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and work at heights.
11. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
