Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough inspections of fire alarm systems, including panels, detectors, horns, strobes, and associated equipment.
Perform routine maintenance and test procedures to ensure systems are operating at optimal performance.
Identify and troubleshoot issues with fire alarm systems, providing effective and efficient solutions.
Ensure all fire alarm inspections meet regulatory standards, including local fire codes and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) guidelines.
Document and maintain accurate records of inspections, testing, and repairs.
Prepare and submit inspection reports to clients in a clear and professional manner.
Collaborate with project managers, service coordinators, and clients to schedule and complete inspections.
Maintain inventory of necessary tools, parts, and equipment for system maintenance and repairs.
Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and new technologies related to fire alarm systems.
Provide training and mentorship to junior technicians as needed.
Respond to emergency service calls and provide timely solutions for system failures.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associates degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred).
Minimum of 3 years of experience working with fire alarm systems, including inspections, testing, and maintenance.
Strong knowledge of NFPA codes, fire alarm system operation, and relevant safety standards.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, system schematics, and technical documentation.
Certification from a recognized organization (e.g., NICET Level I or II in Fire Alarm Systems or equivalent) preferred.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
