About the Job
Finance and Administration is responsible for all accounting, finance and procurement activities for the Department of Human Resource Management (DHRM).
Accounting Specialist works collaboratively with Senior Accountant (149), Senior Accountant, Financial Analyst, and Fiscal Officer to ensure continuity over the day-to—day accounting and finance responsibilities of the office. Ensures timely and accurate processing and reconciliation of a large volume of payments for Health Benefits programs:
Smartshopper, Line of Duty, Express Scripts; processes payments for other programs.
Processes accounts receivable/billing, cash receipts, and tracks incoming payments.
Distributes periodic financial reports to internal/external office staff and actuaries.
Participates in year-end financial reporting. Backs up procurement in mail distribution and check pickup duties.
