Position Overview

Our client, a prominent AmLaw 50 law firm with a nationally recognized Financial Restructuring practice, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their Financial Restructuring & Reorganization team. This is an exceptional opportunity to work on high-profile matters, including business reorganizations, out-of-court restructurings, Chapter 11 proceedings, and bankruptcy-related litigation.

The role is open in the firm’s Atlanta, GA or New York, NY offices.

Candidate Profile

• Education:
  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
• Experience:
  • 2–4 years of substantive experience in:
    • Business reorganization and restructuring.
    • Bankruptcy-related litigation and bankruptcy law.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex legal issues in financial restructuring.
• Licensure:
  • Active bar admission in Georgia or New York, in good standing.
• Skills:
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent clients in business reorganizations, out-of-court restructurings, and Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases.
• Develop strategies and manage all aspects of bankruptcy-related litigation.
• Draft and review restructuring documents, such as reorganization plans and disclosure statements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional legal teams to provide strategic counsel to clients in financial distress.
• Negotiate and work with creditors, debtors, and stakeholders to resolve high-stakes financial challenges.
