What You Will Be Doing
In this role, you will be a key asset in the future growth of the company. You will be spearheading the Company’s financial quarterly forecast, annual budgeting process, operating plan variance analysis, and special projects. You will provide financial advising and strategic support to senior management including preparing board presentations, financial presentations, industry/peer group comparisons, new business opportunities, acquisition analysis, and other projects requested by senior management. This function acts as the analytical engine of the company to provide insights and support business decision-making. The position reports to the Divisional CFO.
Essential Job Functions
Monthly Reporting
- Prepare and deliver monthly and quarter-end financial reporting including variance analysis with risks and opportunities to the current forecast.
- Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and capital expenditures.
- Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision-making purposes.
- Prepare presentations to Senior Management Team.
Forecasting
- Create quarterly forecast and annual budgets coordinating inputs from operational, sales, and finance leaders
- Oversee and manage the continued development of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, and Modeling tools
- Monitor performance indicators and forecast drivers, highlighting trend variances with updates to the next forecast cycle
Analysis
- Implement and work with a Business Intelligence Tool and Dashboard reports.
- Develop and support reporting improvement initiatives across the organization delivering insights to the operation.
- Improve performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies and understand ROI and other financial measures.
- Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives.
- Initiate and develop projects as issues are identified with in-depth analysis supporting improvements in the operation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA preferred.
- 5 years’ relevant work experience.
- Thorough understanding of P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow reporting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Experience in SQL or query tools and an interest in becoming expert in the systems and tools used by the finance team.
- Experience in multi-unit construction is a plus.
- Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to think creatively, highly driven, and self-motivated.
- Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on capacity.

- This is an onsite position based in Carrollton, TX with the flexibility to work from home one day a week.
