Financial Counselor/Scheduler ASC - Infirmary Health

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

Proficient in word processing and PC based spreadsheet programs

Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people

Basic knowledge of credit and collections procedures

Desired Qualifications

Medical Terminology

Knowledge of applicable statutes, regulations, and laws both state and federal levels

Working knowledge of healthcare registration procedures

Knowledge of insurance certification requirements

Analyzes insurance medical necessity requirements and benefits to ensure requirements are met for claims to be submitted according to Infirmary Health's (IH) standards of quality, efficiency, and desired outcomes.  Assists with training new and existing staff. Coordinates operating rooms, schedules of surgeons, and assistants needed for the procedure. Performs assigned clerical duties in an accurate and timely fashion according to established policies and procedures.
