Financial Coordinator

This position is a temporary to permanent position.
Compensation: $30/hr. (temporary)
$67-70K (permanent)
Days/Hours: Monday- Friday, 9-5:30 or 8:30-5- 40/hrs./wk.

- This will require this person to work 2-days on-site, 3-days remote
Responsibilities:
- Administers pre- and post-award sponsored activities and provides 'cradle to grave' contract/grant and financial management for faculty and principal investigators.
- Monitors the financial performance of grants and contracts to ensure compliance with policies and consistency with the approved budget.
- Approve purchases, review expenditures, process financial transactions.
- Electronically process, approve and track travel reports. Manages delinquent travel reports and follows up with travelers to assure that overdue travel reports are submitted.
- Must have 2 years of relevant accounting/finance experience.
- Must be able to do pivot table, macros, and navigate through an Excel spreadsheet comfortably- Advanced Excel Skills required.
- Must have some experience working with pre/post award grants and/or compliance (general).
- Must be able to do expense reports, process invoices, handle reimbursements, and track payments/ receipts.
- Must have Microsoft Office and Concur experience.
