Your Role
Summary
As a Controller, you will play a vital role in analyzing the financial health of our company and collaborating with the CFO to establish and achieve long-term financial goals. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the preparation of financial reports, statements, audits, budgets, and controls.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting and Analysis
- Develop major corporate economic strategies, objectives, and policies.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting and analysis, including P&L, balance sheet, and sales reporting.
- Review and analyze inter-company costs.
- Oversee the sales tax return process.
- Prepare reports required by regulatory agencies.
Budgeting and Forecasting
- Direct the preparation of budgets and review proposals.
- Forecast company business activity and financial position.
- Perform financial analysis for new business opportunities.
- Manage capital spend and create business cases for new investments.
People Leadership
- Set clear performance expectations, provide coaching and feedback, and motivate individuals to excel.
- Identify and hire highly talented candidates for open positions.
- Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with safety and environmental policies.
Your Profile
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or advanced degree preferred.
- Demonstrated experience as a controller, assistant controller, or senior accounting manager.
Job Specific Skills
- Strong financial acumen and analytical ability.
- Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting.
- Project management experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
People Skills
- Effective leadership and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
