About The Job
RADAR is looking for a highly motivated and skilled Controller as our first dedicated in-house accounting team member, reporting to the Head of Finance. In this role, you will be a key leader on the finance team responsible for building out a world-class accounting function. As Controller, you are expected to maximize the company's financial health by designing, implementing, and enforcing best practices, and your primary responsibilities will include development, management, optimization, and oversight of the company's control processes, the monthly close process, and internal and external financial reporting that comply with GAAP. You will provide strategic insights to help define RADAR's business model, identify problems and propose solutions, set up scalable processes and systems, and oversee all day-to-day accounting operations (revenue, AP, AR, payroll, tax, treasury, etc). You will work in partnership with both an internal finance and procurement manager as well as external bookkeepers, with the ability to shape your ideal accounting organization.
The ideal candidate will have outstanding attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, a great attitude, refined communication skills, resilience, and tenacity. Experience with SaaS and/or inventory management best practices strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical accounting guidance for new business models and initiatives.
- Responsible for month end close and overseeing all general ledger functions; assure accuracy, timeliness, and conformity with professional accounting standards and best practices in accordance with GAAP.
- Oversee activities of invoicing / billing for accounts receivable and payable.
- Monitor weekly Cash Position.
- Monthly inventory entries and review of Cost of Revenue.
- Review allocation of all credit card and other expenses to appropriate general ledger accounts.
- Work with other team members to ensure that revenues and expenses are reported and recorded correctly.
- Prepare monthly financial reports to senior management.
- Ad hoc analysis such as cash forecasting, COR/inventory segmentation, and expense allocation.
- Develop, update and maintain proprietary databases as needed.
About You
Required:
- You have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- You are a licensed CPA with 8+ years of professional accounting experience.
- You have a clear understanding of the US GAAP accounting and accounting process.
- You have deep technical accounting knowledge.
- You have proven experience with design and implementation of accounting policies, systems, and audits.
- You have experience with SaaS models and/or design and implementation of inventory management systems.
- You have excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex accounting matters to various stakeholders, including senior executives.
- You are able to work individually or part of a group and effectively recruit, mentor, and motivate a growing team.
Preferred:
- You have NetSuite experience.
- You have Big 4 experience.
- You have prior experience working in a high growth, fast paced work environment.

*The expected salary range for this position is $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 annually + benefits + equity. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, location, and other job related factors.
