Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee the preparation and timely delivery of accurate financial statements for multiple entities (cash and accrual basis).
- Ensure proper classification, recording, and reconciliation of financial transactions.
- Prepare and present weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior leadership.
2. Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the development and management of the annual budget and periodic forecasts.
- Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and provide actionable recommendations to achieve financial targets.
- Update financial models to reflect changing business needs.
3. Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Coordinate with external auditors to maintain alignment with statutory requirements.
- Develop and enforce internal controls to mitigate financial risks and safeguard assets.
4. Strategic Financial Analysis
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, operational efficiencies, and opportunities for cost reduction.
- Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess financial health and inform strategic decisions.
- Provide strategic financial insights to support organizational growth and investment opportunities.
5. Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor an offshore accounting team, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
- Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and payroll.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team productivity and accuracy.
6. Operational Responsibilities
- Oversee daily bank reconciliations and cash flow management.
- Approve vendor bills and ensure compliance with established approval workflows.
- Conduct regular inventory reconciliations and oversee payroll processing for employees and contractors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management or accounting, with a proven track record of leadership.
- Expertise in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Bill.com) and reporting systems.
- Big Four experience strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, tax compliance, and budgeting processes.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide strategic insights.
- Prior experience in the healthcare or wellness industry is highly desirable.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.
