Remote Hybrid Financial Controller
***Candidate must reside in or near Miami Dade County, role is Hybrid Remote (not full Remote)
Salary $95,000 - $150 (base + bonus)

The Comptroller/Financial Controller plays a pivotal role in the financial stewardship of Chrysalis Health, overseeing all financial operations with precision and integrity. This position is integral to the preparation of annual budgets, crafting comprehensive narrative financial plans, and producing monthly financial statements. Additionally, this role ensures the coordination and completion of independent audits by certified public accountants, adhering strictly to agency policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Oversight: Maintain detailed accounts receivable, aging schedules, and accounts payable ledgers for operating accounts, ensuring monthly reconciliation with the general ledger, including subsidiary records.
- Documentation and Accuracy: Ensure prompt and accurate performance of all financial support activities, bookkeeping, and record-keeping related to Chrysalis Health's finances.
- Bad Debt Management: Reconcile all bad debts in accordance with agency policies.
- Reporting and Compliance: Present financial reports and budgetary changes to the CFO, COO, CEO, and Executive Board for review and approval as necessary.
- Payroll and Legal Compliance: Collaborate with the Senior Director of People Operations to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll laws and procedures.
- Property and Inventory Management: Oversee property management, purchasing, and annual inventory in line with agency policies.

Responsibilities
- Participation in Management Meeting, Risk Management/Finance and Privacy Committees on a regularly scheduled basis
- Must be familiar with general accounting principles and practices
- Must practice all financial activities in a sound manner and in compliance with federal, state and local laws/regulations
- Ability to utilize HRIS system for payroll, work functions, and evaluations.
- Must successfully complete all criminal background checks annually.
- Accepts other special projects as assigned.

Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a minimum of an Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or other related field. Must have a minimum of five years’ experience in finance and banking. Advanced degree and/or credentials highly preferred
- Healthcare expereince highly preferred
- Demonstrates proficiency and effectiveness in verbal and written skills
- Ability to work with culturally diverse groups and individuals in order to facilitate participation toward common goals and objectives
- Moderate computer skills and working knowledge of Excel, Quick Books and general financial software. Experience with Great Plains or Business Central preferred.
- Must successfully complete all criminal background screens annually
