Job Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Financial Controller to oversee our company's accounting operations and financial management. The Financial Controller will play a critical role in ensuring financial integrity, accuracy of financial reporting, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide strategic financial guidance to senior management.
Roles and Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and variance analysis. Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and regulatory reporting requirements.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting activities. Collaborate with department heads to develop budgetary guidelines, monitor budget performance, and analyze variances. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management for financial decision-making.

Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including profitability analysis, cost management, and financial performance metrics. Interpret financial data and trends to support strategic initiatives and operational improvements.

Internal Controls and Compliance: Establish and maintain internal control policies, procedures, and financial systems to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial records. Monitor compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Cash Management: Manage cash flow and liquidity to optimize working capital and funding requirements. Implement cash management strategies, including forecasting cash needs and monitoring banking relationships.

Audit Coordination: Coordinate and manage external audits, including liaising with auditors and preparing audit schedules and documentation. Ensure timely resolution of audit issues and implementation of audit recommendations.

Team Leadership and Development: Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals, including overseeing day-to-day operations, performance evaluations, and professional development. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the finance department.
Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification is strongly preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management roles, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Thorough understanding of GAAP/IFRS and regulatory requirements. Experience with SEC reporting is a plus.
- Proven track record of leading financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management, auditors, and external stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle), ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
Compensation:
- The base salary for a Financial Controller typically ranges from $120,000 to $160,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Performance-based bonuses and incentives may range from 10% to 30% of base salary, based on individual and company performance metrics.
