ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead, Manage and Hold Accountable: Recruit, retain, develop, and lead a successful accounting team. Drive and lead the successful performance of the accounting team including recruitment, retention, training and development, and performance management.
Day-to-day activities of accounting function: Lead Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, payroll, treasury activities, perpetual inventory integrity, fixed asset records, general & entity accounting, cost accounting, payroll, and banking relationships.
Internal Controls and Budgets: Implement procedures and processes that ensure data security, protect an organization’s assets, and meet legal and reporting requirements. Project financial and operational resources necessary to develop a financial plan aligned with the organization’s strategic goals. Document and update all accounting related processes and procedures.
Accounting and Finance Operations: Accurate and Timely Financial Reporting, Statements, Analysis and Planning; Use technology to effectively support operational and financial processes, solve problems, analyze data, and enhance business performance; Manage short-term and long-term financing needs and analyze investment alternatives.
SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS
Strong communicator and skilled financial analyst.
Financial operations, accounting, customer service, leadership and teamwork skills.
High degree of change-agility, professionalism, accuracy and attention to detail.
Deadline-driven with excellent time management ability.
Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Superior presentation and public speaking skills
Proficient in accounting (QuickBooks) and tax preparation software
Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Advanced Excel experience desired.
KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
CPA and/or CMA preferred. MBA a plus;
Minimum 3 years prior supervisory experience overseeing employees and Accounting/Finance functions.
Minimum 5 years progressive accounting and finance experience required including: demonstrated knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls and financial reporting; strategic planning; tax compliance; budgeting and forecasting processes; Developing and reporting metrics that provide leading/early indicators of emerging risk.
Track record as an operationally oriented finance leader and business partner
Managing and optimizing ERP information systems, other accounting/finance applications
Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.
