Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee financial activities, ensure compliance, and manage cash flow processes. This role will lead a small accounting team, conduct budgeting and variance analysis, and support company growth with efficient financial management practices. The ideal candidate will have a background in cash management, budgeting, and familiarity with financial audits.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and present accurate financial statements for management and board review.
Conduct detailed variance analysis, identifying trends and supporting decision-making processes.
Lead the budgeting process, coordinating with departments to develop realistic budgets.
Develop, implement, and monitor internal control policies for accurate reporting and asset safeguarding.
Conduct periodic internal audits and recommend improvements based on findings.
Manage cash flow processes, including daily and weekly payments, commissions, and wires.
Oversee a team of two bookkeepers, ensuring effective delegation and adherence to deadlines.
Reconcile QuickBooks with the loan portfolio system to maintain data consistency.
Identify and implement process improvements, leveraging technology to enhance efficiency.
What We Need from You:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/CMA preferred.
3+ years of experience in finance/accounting, preferably within a CPA firm or finance company.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, cash management, and financial analysis.
Proficiency in financial software (QuickBooks, Excel).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
