Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and analysis of internal and external financial statements.
- Supervise and mentor accounting team members, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting.
- Enhance financial controls and evolve the existing control environment.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and regulatory standards to maintain the company’s financial integrity.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax compliance teams, ensuring seamless reporting and compliance processes.
- Oversee regulatory reporting, tax planning, and compliance, identifying opportunities for optimization.
- Maintain the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports in a high-pressure, deadline-driven setting.
Your Background:
- Experience: 8+ years in accounting, financial reporting, or a similar leadership role, with a preference for public accounting experience.
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in accounting systems, ERP solutions, and regulatory frameworks, including GAAP and SOX. Familiarity with NetSuite is a plus.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead teams and collaborate with cross-functional departments.
- Strategic Vision: Exceptional analytical skills, strategic planning capabilities, and problem-solving expertise.
- Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required. A master’s degree or CPA/CMA certification is preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in the insurance brokerage segment is a bonus but not required.
