We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Controller tojoin our growing team in Des Moines, Iowa. The ideal candidate will managefinancial operations, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and supportthe company’s growth through effective financial analysis and reporting. This isan on-site role, and candidates must be able to work from our Des Moines office.Key Responsibilities:• Oversee all accounting operations, including the preparation of financialstatements, balance sheets, and cash flow management.• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy andtimeliness of financial reporting.• Monitor and analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations tomanagement for strategic decision-making.• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations andaccounting standards.• Collaborate with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.• Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assetsand prevent fraud.• Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, payroll processing, and taxpreparation.• Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors.• Support cost reduction initiatives and monitor business performance metrics.• Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as requested by seniorleadership.Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMAcertification preferred).• 5+ years of experience in a financial management or controlling role.• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.• Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) andMicrosoft Excel.• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work efficiently ina fast-paced environment.• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively withteam members and stakeholders.• Prior experience in managing payroll, taxes, and compliance with federal andstate regulations is a plus.Work Schedule:• Full-time or Part-time availability.• Flexibility to work within office hours, with occasional extended hours basedon reporting deadlines.Benefits:• Competitive salary based on experience and role type (full-time/part-time).• Health and dental insurance (for full-time employees).• Paid time off and holiday leave.• Professional development opportunities.• On-site parking.
