Job Title: Financial Controller – Construction

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller with 10+ years of experience in civil construction or general contracting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management and a proven ability to lead and execute the transition to an ERP platform. This is a key role for overseeing all financial activities within the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all financial aspects of the business, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash flow management.
• Lead the transition to a new ERP platform, working closely with internal teams and vendors to ensure a smooth implementation.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Review and analyze financial performance, identifying opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements.
• Supervise and mentor the finance team, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and best practices.
• Provide strategic financial guidance to leadership and assist with long-term planning and decision-making.
• Maintain strong relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and other external financial partners.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in financial management within the civil construction or general contracting industry.
• Proven experience with ERP system transitions, including planning, implementation, and ongoing optimization.
• Strong understanding of construction accounting, cost tracking, and job costing systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
