Department Summary:Reporting to the Vice Chancellor and Chief Financial Officer, the Office of Academic Planning and Budget (APB) supports UCLA executive management and campus-level strategic planning by providing objective and timely data and analysis to inform central and unit decision making processes. It acts in an advisory role to the Chancellor and Executive Vice Chancellor/Provost in the allocation and administration of all campus funds. In addition, the office interacts with the Office of the President (OP) to ensure that the campus resource base and its flexibility are maximized and that the campus academic performance and programs are accurately characterized in systemwide reports.Position Summary:APB is looking for a candidate that will support various project management initiatives related to UCLA's Oracle Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (EPBCS), known as CBIG on campus. The Planning and Budget Systems Analyst will be trained to provide system administration support which includes oversight of the monthly load of actuals data into the system and also updating user security into the system. Along with this, the candidate, with support from the Assistant Director of Budget & Planning Systems, will help to manage the following projects related to CBIG:
• Create and manage new budget input forms for the campus to utilize during the campus budget process.
• Create any new reports, as needed, to support ABP, campus analysis and the campus budget process.
• Creation of web and video material to support campus training of CBIG. Another aspect of the role includes developing dashboards in Tableau which are to be used to communicate Organization financial trends not only to senior leadership and unit financial leaders, but also to other campus groups such as the Academic Senate.
