Summary:
Covaris is seeking a Financial Analyst to provide support of operational and financial reporting. This individual will assist in the forecasting of operating expenses, generate cash flow reporting and forecasts, and analyze revenue and pricing trends. Responsibilities: The employee may be required to perform all or a combination of the following essential duties as determined by business necessity.
- Conduct Monthly Operating Reviews using Detailed Revenue Reporting & Analysis, Department Expense Reporting, OPEX Reporting, Regional Revenue Reporting, and T&E Reporting.
- Support budgeting and forecasting of operating expenses.
- Provide commercial support on ad hoc analysis, transaction-level reporting, discount Analysis, sales pipeline analysis, and commission expense analysis when needed.
- Report on weekly cash flow activity and generate 13-week cashflow forecast.
- Support financial projects such as streamlining data warehouse and PowerBi reporting, pricing analysis, and more.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
- 3+ years of experience in financial accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of monthly close, budgeting, and reporting cycles.
- Understand data orientation and how to support conclusions with the best data available.
- Experience with large datasets and financial modeling
- Experience with P&L and Cash Flow statements.
- Expert in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with PowerBI and Power Query is preferred.
- PowerPoint expertise is preferred.
- Knowledge of Great Plains ERP is a plus.
- Sense of urgency and ability to operate in dynamic environment with changing priorities.
