Financial Analyst
Qualifications:
The U.S. Regulatory Reporting Analyst will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of several Regulatory Reporting schedules, including FRY 9c. This is a quarterly process completed to ensure balances coming out of the RegInsight standard regulatory reporting tool and manual calculation are accurate and sufficient to send to Client Bank.
The selected candidate will participate on production and analytics to enhance the governance framework to achieve greater standardization, consistency, and sustainability. This position will work closely with the Production Sr. Manager; ensuring reports are produced timely, accurately and are complete. The position has responsibility for all related processes being compliant with current regulations, supported by documentation standards and with effective preventive and detective controls. The position will liaise with the Corporate Reporting, Country/Product Controllers, Technology and Finance.
This position has responsibility for the preparation of financial analysis for regulatory reporting and the assisting with the Regulatory transformation project. The supervision will escalate issues and discrepancies noted in the production process for root cause remediation.
Description/Duties:
The monthly and quarterly preparation/analysis of several regulatory schedules. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with multiple functions (Corporate Reporting, Finance, Risk, Operations Technology).
Escalate issues and interface with operations units ensuring appropriate corrective actions are taken.
Produce metrics to management highlighting key issues and remediation status, maintain and enhance related operational and analytical procedures.
Perform key controls, with proper documentation and identify opportunities to optimize processes.
Responsible for the reconciliation among different reports as well as BAU reporting vs strategic tool output.
Effective communication around issue resolution with technology and management.
Required:
4 Years Bachelor's degree and 1+ years of work experience or 3+ years of related industry experience.
Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills required.
Excellent analytical background and skill set to understand Basel processes, including system data flows.
Able to work with large volumes of data from different sources.
Self-motivated with ability to make decisions and maintain a controlled environment.
Willingness to work flexible hours or on an Alternative Work Space (AWS) environment.
Ability to multi-task, be proactive and goal-oriented.
Strong interpersonal/communication skills (oral and written) and confidence to work with different levels of management.
Preferred but not required:
Masters in Accounting or Economics; Certified Public Accountant or International Equivalent; Certified Financial Analyst.
Previous exposure to Basel or Country Risk.
Previous banking products experience or exposure.
Previous Exposure to global processes and teamwork across various locations and cultures.
