We offer a salary range of $5,546.67 to $7,865.68 per month, based on qualifications and experience. Our Finance department excels in delivering comprehensive financial, budgeting, and accounting services. We are equipped with skilled financial leaders and advanced technology-based systems, enabling us to support the university's research endeavors and strategic growth effectively.
Your Role:
As a Financial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in shaping the university's future. Reporting to the Associate Director of Budget & Finance, you will leverage your analytical skills to produce detailed financial reports that influence strategic decisions. Your contributions will be pivotal in fostering innovation and enhancing our department's goals through effective collaboration and relationship building with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with senior executives, university personnel, and various stakeholders, handling complex tasks and meeting tight deadlines.
- Produce financial reporting and develop data business models.
- Participate in detailed analyses, complex reconciliations, and tax preparations.
- Collaborate on the preparation of financial schedules, reconciliation, and investment reporting.
- Contribute to planning and coordination of financial and operational activities to achieve departmental objectives.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least five years of professional accounting experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to create complex ad-hoc reports.
- Experience with fund accounting, including GASB, is highly desirable.
- Experience in a university or non-profit environment is preferred.
- A continuous improvement mindset and proven ability to implement process enhancements.
