We're seeking a Financial Analyst to join us in our mission. As a Financial Analyst, you'll play a crucial role in providing accounting and reporting services, managing grant finances, participating in team initiatives and projects, and ensuring compliance with government and funder regulations. Success in this role requires strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to communicate financial information clearly and effectively. You'll act as a strategic partner to program staff, offering financial guidance and fostering productive relationships with funders. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the general ledger, execute regular close procedures, and assist with financial planning and budgeting processes.
- Analyze financial statements and reports, develop financial models, prepare projections, and conduct research and analysis.
- Manage grant portfolios, including budgeting, cost projections, reporting, and spending analysis.
- Provide guidance and consultation during business planning and budgeting processes.
- Prepare reports, projections, and financial models as required.
- Assist with annual audit engagements and lead funder audits.
- Offer technical assistance and guidance to grantees and stakeholders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline required; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of accounting or finance experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and experience with accounting/finance software; familiarity with Blackbaud Financial Edge is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strategic thinking and consultancy skills.
Work Arrangement:
This is a remote position.
