Financial Analyst
Position Summary:
Life Cycle Engineering is looking for a driven Financial Analyst to join our Norfolk, VA office providing support to our customer, Commander Naval Air Forces, Atlantic (CNAL). As a Financial Analyst you will regularly interface with CNAL management, naval program managers, technical personnel and CNAL staff. You will be responsible for all of the program's administrative/financial duties in support of the various engineering contracts.

Position Summary:
Life Cycle Engineering is looking for a driven Financial Analyst to join our Norfolk, VA office providing support to our customer, Commander Naval Air Forces, Atlantic (CNAL). As a Financial Analyst you will regularly interface with CNAL management, naval program managers, technical personnel and CNAL staff. You will be responsible for all of the program's administrative/financial duties in support of the various engineering contracts.
Clearance Required:
- Must be a US citizen and have the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
- Prepare engineering-related cost analysis reports and provide detailed information to N43B
- Participate in programmatic meetings including LCMG, Carrier Team One meetings, Carrier Readiness Team (CRT), Carrier Program Managers Group, Program Review Engineering/Program Review Logistics (PRE/PRL), Naval Aviation Requirements Group (NARG) and the FMBOD
- Develop annual Execution Year Guidance and control allocation plan; develop mitigation plans in support of requirement shortfalls; and modify Execution Year Guidance to incorporate surplus or augments to initial annual control
- Draft programming and budget calls for CNAL ship maintenance funding, explaining policy guidance and desired input formats to CNAL N43 Staff
- Draft justifications to defend ship maintenance programs to CNO, Office of Navy Budget, and Office of the Secretary of Defense/Fleet Maintenance Board, OPNAV, and CFFC
- Provide assistance to N43B and the Force Maintenance Officer through negotiation of the number of person-days that will be inducted into each yard during each fiscal year. Work with OPNAV N83, COMNAVSEASYSCOM (NAVSEA 04), CFFC, and the shipyards as required to accommodate any needed changes to the fiscal year negotiated man-days
- High school degree or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
- Must be fluent in the use of the U.S. Fleet Forces Command Financial Management System (CFMS) and have knowledge of the Ship Maintenance Financial Management and Reporting (COMUSFLTFORCOMINST 4790)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe; basic understanding of computers, teleconferencing and web meeting requirements, connectivity, and equipment
- Strong disposition towards the consistent delivery of exceptional customer service and hospitality; must have a warm and approachable personality that quickly establishes a professional rapport with all encountered
- Professional attire and communication skills; must be able to think and act quickly in ways that generate consistently positive outcomes
- High comfort level working with and around all organizational levels, clients, vendors and visitors
- Ability to work as a team player and demonstrate personal initiative to complete the work of the team as a whole
- Must be sensitive to the professional expectations of the business, ensuring a positive impression for all stakeholders
- Must be highly reliable and capable of meeting work schedule consistently
- Demonstrated experience building team cohesion
- Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting (up to 10 pounds), and standing; occasional prolonged sitting
- Ability to use phone and computer systems, copier, fax and other office equipment
- Ability to speak, read, hear and write, without assistance
