Role Highlights:
- Spearhead the monthly examination and dissemination of financial outcomes for the business unit, ensuring analytical validation and insights.
- Steer the helm of budget creation and monthly forecasting initiatives, encompassing the business unit broad operational spectrum.
- Craft and refine reporting mechanisms to gauge and compare essential financial and operational metrics against predefined benchmarks, diagnosing deviations and suggesting informed, strategic remedies to elevate financial performance.
- Promote interdepartmental synergy by interfacing with FP&A, corporate finance, operations, and executive leadership teams, offering financial wisdom in multi-disciplinary gatherings to fuel strategic pursuits.
- Leverage SQL capabilities for the meticulous extraction of financial and operational insights from databases for comprehensive analysis.
- Harness the power of Tableau or equivalent BI visualization tools to demystify financial data and analytic outcomes, ensuring digestibility and actionable intelligence for stakeholders.
- Pursue efficiency in financial processes through the identification and implementation of enhancements, data accuracy projects, and automation of routine operations.
- Collaborate intimately with the financial planning team and departmental allies to scrutinize and justify investment decisions, aiming to meet or exceed revenue growth aspirations.
- Undertake specialized analytical tasks to anchor strategic business decisions and initiatives.
- Assume additional duties as allocated by the departmental head, contributing to the team's overall success.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Stellar analytical prowess and problem-solving aptitude, with a knack for connecting financial results with operational drivers, brainstorming alternatives, and instigating constructive change. A robust foundation in financial analysis, well-versed in interpreting financial statements, and adept at budgeting, forecasting, and understanding variance dynamics.
- Practical SQL knowledge coupled with experience in BI visualization technologies or advanced Excel functionalities.
- Proficiency across Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, with an added bonus for familiarity with Workday or Adaptive Insights.
- Proven expertise in financial modeling and a strong analytical narrative.
- Exceptional time management skills, capable of juggling multiple projects efficiently while strictly adhering to deadlines.
- Advanced acumen in project management and process optimization, with a penchant for systematic improvement.
- An anticipatory approach towards identifying and troubleshooting complex financial predicaments.
- A process-driven mentality, constantly seeking avenues for improvement and efficiency gains.
- Excellent communicative clarity, adept at simplifying complex financial issues for various audiences.
- A Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field, from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Between 1 to 4 years of dedicated experience in FP&A, ideally peppered with project management undertakings and a familiarity with continuous improvement practices.
