About the Job
**Only qualified Financial Analyst candidates located within two hours of the Los Angeles, CA area will be considered due to the role requiring an onsite presence**
Required Education:
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
Required Experience and Knowledge:
* Minimum of 5 years of accounting, specifically fund accounting, and financial analysis experience in a hospital or similar environment
* Experience as a Senior or Lead Financial/Budget Analyst, with the ability to train and develop junior analysts
* Demonstrated experience in developing new financial reports, tracking and reporting on KPIs, budget/variance analysis (researching and explaining variances), and financial modeling (creating, building, and maintaining)
* Strong analytical ability to interpret and explain financial data
* Experience working collaboratively with Finance, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, and external vendors
Required Technical Skills:
* Advanced Excel proficiency, including v-lookups, pivot tables, sum-ifs, and working with large linked files
* Familiarity with major financial ERPs, such as Infor Lawson
* Understanding of GAAP, the General Ledger, and the Chart of Accounts
Required Soft Skills:
* Extremely detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
* Proven ability to multi-task and meet competing deadlines
* Capable of working independently under general direction
* A quick learner able to adapt to new processes or tools
