Job Opportunity: Financial Analyst (Remote Position)

In this role, you'll play a vital part in supporting our portfolio of contracts, contributing to financial reporting, program/project control functions, and contract budgeting. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage financial reporting, program/project control functions, and contract budgeting.
- Collaborate closely with financial analysts, project management, and contracts personnel to ensure contract financial performance.
- Reconcile accounts receivable, compile monthly financial progress reports, and support contract closeouts.
- Maintain accurate charge numbers, monitor actual charges, and carry out Month End close responsibilities.
- Analyze performance against established budgets, identifying and addressing variances.
- Monitor funding status, providing timely notification with line-item detail.
- Ensure contractual requirements are met and customer financial deliverables are accurate and on time.
- Review and approve invoices for submission to customers, resolving billing issues promptly.
- Analyze revenue and profit risks and opportunities to minimize organizational risk.
- Perform financial duties such as preparing month-end accruals, assessing risks, and managing project set-ups for accurate financial reporting.
- Perform additional duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field and at least 1 year of relevant experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask, work independently, and manage time effectively.
- Positive, proactive attitude with a commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Ability to pass and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint & Cognos.
- Proficiency in Oracle Hyperion (SmartView).
- Familiarity with SharePoint or shared file locations.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.
