JOB DESCRIPTION
The Financial Analyst for the Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) department supports financial planning, analysis, and budget management for I&O projects and operations. This role involves working closely with IT teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, support strategic decision-making, and manage financial aspects of I&O initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Budget Management: Prepare, analyze, and manage budgets for I&O programs using tools like Excel, Power BI, and Oracle BI.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports, including variance analysis, for I&O projects and operations.
- Forecasting: Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting and long-term planning.
- Actuals Reconciliation: Track POET numbers, extract actuals from Oracle BI, and reconcile with forecasts.
- Data Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
- Collaboration: Work with I&O teams to gather financial information and provide insights for decision-making.
- Project Support: Provide financial support for I&O projects, including network diagram reading, circuit ordering, and datacenter builds. Review project financial data with PMs and support PMG leads.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Develop and manage project plans, specifying goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, risk identification, contingency plans, and resource allocation.
- Lead and manage IT infrastructure projects to ensure timely and efficient execution.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure all aspects of the project are aligned and deliverables are met.
- I&O Initiatives
- Infrastructure Upgrades: Financially support projects aimed at upgrading network infrastructure, including hardware and software enhancements.
- Cloud Migration: Assist in budgeting and financial analysis for cloud migration projects, ensuring cost-effective transitions.
- Data Center Optimization: Provide financial oversight for data center optimization projects, focusing on efficiency and cost savings.
- Cybersecurity Enhancements: Support financial planning for cybersecurity initiatives to protect IT assets and data.
- Operational Efficiency: Analyze and report on financial performance of initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency within the I&O department.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Financial Analysis: Strong understanding of financial principles, modeling, and forecasting, especially for I&O projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial software and project management tools like Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, Oracle BI/SAP, Visio, and MS Project. Knowledge of network diagrams, circuit ordering, and datacenter/IT operations is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex financial information.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment, especially with technical teams.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CFA) is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial analysis or a related role, preferably within an IT environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with financial software and tools like Excel, Power BI, and Oracle BI/SAP, including advanced Excel skills.
- Project Management: PMP certification or extensive project management experience, particularly in managing large-scale I&O projects.
