We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Financial Analyst to join our team in the Engineering industry. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of our company by providing insight and guidance on financial decisions. This position is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual who has a keen interest in the strategic planning and financial management of a leading engineering firm. The role requires a high level of financial acumen, strategic thinking, and a proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
2. Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking.
3. Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support.
4. Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
5. Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures.
6. Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization.
7. Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards.
8. Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools.
9. Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation by creating forecasts and budgets, understanding cash flow, and maintaining ledger accuracy.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, financial modeling, or related field, preferably in the engineering industry.
3. Proven proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and ledger.
4. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial planning software.
5. Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
6. Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to explain complex financial information in an easy-to-understand manner.
7. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
8. Proven strategic planning experience at the management level.
9. Ability to work collaboratively across departmental functions.
10. Knowledge of financial reporting and data mining tools such as SQL, Access, etc. is a plus.
