Financial Analyst at BWX Technologies

BWXT is currently seeking a Financial Analyst for its Erwin, TN location!

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

• Completes activities for the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close that includes journal entries, financial statement reviews, ensuring compliance with accounting principles; and preparing month-end reports including analysis of major cost drivers.
• Supports finance team in preparing annual business plans, quarterly forecasts, monthly closing and current view projections.
• Performs balance sheet reconciliations, and supports ad-hoc requests such as cash flow, budgeting, accounting reserves, and audit support.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field with at least 3 years of professional experience.
• Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
• Able to demonstrate superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.
