Our Accounting & Finance Staffing team is currently looking to speak with candidates who would be a good fit for roles with the specifications below:
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and complete monthly billings to ensure accuracy
- Assist with preparation of monthly financial reporting package, year-end audit, and other regulatory reporting
- Support implementation and ongoing compliance with accounting system, accounting department policies and procedures, cost allocation methodology, payroll and time keeping systems
- Maintain program budgets and forecasts in the general ledger system
- Work alongside team members on annual agency budgeting process and regular re-forecasting updates
- Ensure compliance with appropriate GAAP and regulations
- Maintain alignment of expenditures with grant and program budgets throughout the grant/fund period
- Ensure all entries are booked in a timely manner to adhere to schedules and deadlines
- Perform account reconciliations and analysis as required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Solid understanding of accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll
- Experience in grants management and revenue recognition
- Knowledge of GAAP and government cost regulations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
- Familiarity with nonprofit fund accounting systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
